I love to photograph people and animals in relaxed, easy settings and poses, which is why I describe my work as casual portrait photography. I have a 20 year background in children's books, which has given me great appreciation for and experience with fun and meaningful artwork, and I try to capture that feeling in my photography. I believe that truly wonderful pictures tell a story, and my job is to tell a little bit of yours when I take your portrait. Those are the pictures that are the most special -- the ones that reflect that element that belongs uniquely to you and you alone.
